Joe came home the other day and said he’d had a reading assessment at school.
He felt it had gone well except that he was asked to read ‘moustache’ which he’d never heard of and then couldn’t read anyway.

For Christmas last year, everyone in the family
who had a nose and a sense of humour got one of these.
And this year everyone in the family who washes (i.e. everyone except my boys!) 
will be getting one of these flannels and a bar of homemade (but not in my home) soap.

This week vanished. 
I do know that I got up early and went to bed late every day
and wasted no (okay, not that much) time in between.
Yet it’s Sunday again and I’ve got nothing much to show for it.
Except for a few quick doodles on my sewing machine.
