It’s been very hot here.
My boys had a great time running through the sprinkler yesterday
stopping only when they were shivering blue with cold
then Joe asked for a hot chocolate to warm him up!

turned six over the weekend.

The only time he is ever still or quiet
(he talks in his sleep too)
is when he’s watching

Joe asked me the other day if he’d ever been alone.
I said he’d been on his own
but never actually alone.
Not ever, not even for a second in his entire life.
He was amazed by that.
And it got me thinking…
at what age will I let him be alone? 
And how will I feel when he is?

Well, that’s what the estate agent called it.
In reality it’s just a gap big enough to house the washing machine and tumble drier.
But at least it’s got an interesting wall.

The other morning Joe found half a dead slow worm (the tail end to be precise) lying in a puddle.
And knew his brother would adore it.
Luckily, Daddy was on Joe’s school run duty
and carried it home (so unlike me and the dead frog).

Today is my 3rd blogiversary.
I had intended to make a tutorial or a giveaway to celebrate
but, it wasn’t to be
so here’s a photo of a bowl of chocolate eggs instead.

and eat more chocolate than is good for a person.
