School run bag
I got loads done last night. I went swimming, updated my shop and made my new bag. Exhausted today though!
The bag is basically 2 rectangles sewn together. The front is ‘Forest’ by Amy Butler and the lining is ‘Ladybug’ by Etsuko Furayo.
The strap is just a length of hessian upholstery tape.
The bag is big enough for Joes’ bookbag and […]
The Ambitious Project
Yes, my lovely but never worn dressing gown is now a dress.
To save making a dress from scratch I borrowed Tifs’ idea and altered a slip to wear underneath the dressing gown. The slip wasn’t long enough so I lengthened it with a tablecloth (also a charity shop purchase) and then added a pretty orange floral cheesecloth.
The dressing gown […]
Thankyou!
Thanks to Julie from ‘Little Cotton Rabbits’ who very has very kindly nominated me for this award.
I must now pass on the honour… and I would like to nominate Melissa, Manda, Tif, Ali and Lynette.
These girls have replied to my emails, answered my questions and always have an encouraging comment to make!
Thankyou, you have helped me greatly.
And now I’m […]
Monoprint Tutorial
Here is my tutorial as promised: -

2. Squeeze a line of ink onto the mirror and roll it out evenly until it covers an area in a thin film.
Thicker areas of ink will leave splodges […]
Monoprinting

I had a look on the internet and can’t find a really good visual link to put here (although there are hundreds […]
Sketchbook Cover
I don’t seem to be able to think without a pencil in my hand- and I definitely can’t remember anything unless I’ve written it down.
So I have sketchbooks and lists everywhere (even by my bed), and this is my favourite sketchbook.
I made myself a simple patchwork cover which ties at the front with a ribbon over […]
Contradicting Myself!
This little picture is in my shop and now I’m going to contradict myself…
I’ve been thinking about how to combine my blog and my shop… and I’ve decided that I want the pieces in my shop to be a surprise.
So, when (if!) you visit my shop I promise there will be some lovely new pieces there […]
Another rainy day game
Yes, it rained again today - so out came yet another old but favourite game!
Give each fed up child an empty matchbox.
Then get them to put as many things as possible into it. But the lid must still fit!
We did this as a sponsored fundraiser at school and you can get over 100 things in a little matchbox if you […]
