Optimize

Plantcandle420TidyFabric420I do love a New Year and the opportunity it brings to make a fresh start. I don’t make resolutions but I do set myself a word to live by for the year ahead.

And this year I plan to ‘optimize’- my energy, my surroundings, my business and all the myriad opportunities I am given.

My first optimizing challenge for 2015 is to de- clutter and tidy our house. Like many others I have been inspired by the charmingly eccentric Marie Kondo and her book ‘The Life Changing Magic of Tidying’.

We are a family of hoarders, so this will be a long process.

But I have made an excellent start and now have a very tidy and organised studio to work in. If I did not love an item or know it to be essential it went out to find a new and loving home with my thanks (that’s one of the eccentricities in the book).

So, now my studio where I spend so much of my time is now a truly inspiring and comforting place to be.

Lovely!

Your studio is truly beautiful and very inspiring. I’ve order this book from the library and am keen to read…as part of our renovations we are divesting ourselves of lots of stuff and planning lots of storage for the rest so that everything has a place. I can’t wait till my own tiny sewing room is ready…I’ve a while to wait but it will be worth it.

Wow- your studio is so professional, organised and beautiful. I spend a lot of my time looking for mislaid items so I think I need to take things in hand!!! Wishing you a productive and creative 2015.xx

Oh heck. I am so untidy and clutter is probably my middle name. I do not think I will ever have anywhere as tidy and organised as you. Your studio looks so tidy.
A little late but wishing you a happy 2015, you have got off to a great start, hope you have a great year. Milly
