Sea Gulls
‘and we float and we fly by’ William A. Clark
This is the sea gulls quilt from ‘Hearty Good Wishes- Coastal Quilts‘ the simplest quilt to make in the whole book and one of the most popular at the Festival of Quilts.
The fabric is a beautiful indigo linen I found in The Cloth House– not using proper patchwork fabric is the first quilting rule I broke (ignored), using polyester thread is the second and hand quilting it in knitting yarn would be the third…
Still, never mind all that.
I love it and hope to take it on many, many seaside picnics!

I love how it looks and how you broke the rules, I do that a lot, lol.
I love linen for my border/bindings. I like the soft but sturdy feel to it.
