when I was little I used to help my Granny clean her brass knick-knacks and now I can’t smell Brasso without thinking of her.

I smell brasso and can’t get the memory out of my mind of years in uniform cleaning brass bugles and belt buckles (there were lots brass on every bit of kit back then) and anything shiny that didn’t move!
One had to be careful if using it in an enclosed space as it is ‘giddy-making’.
