Oliver Jeffers

Saturday morning finds Henry and me queueing to see the fabulous Oliver Jeffers, our favourite children’s author and illustrator.

Oliver was just wonderful and draws a picture in every single book he signs. Henry asked for a penguin but Oliver wanted to draw a moose so to keep everyone happy he drew this:

Henry says he’s 8 now and is growing out of picture books.

I’m 43 and I’m not.

Not having a good reason to buy picture books is one of the greatest sadnesses of my children growing up.

Running a pre-school gives me the perfect excuse for me to indulge my love of books of all types! And my favourite Oliver Jeffers is “Lost and Found”.
