The cake
Henry is 4 today and he’s as jolly and lovely as ever.
At around 8.30 last night, Tony and I started work on Henry’s ‘Lewis Hamilton’ cake.
We only had to decorate the cake and the cake board because I’d cheated and bought all the sponges ready made.
We started with great gusto (and a glass of wine each) and ended up with this.
We are very proud of ourselves and are glad to say that Henry loved it!
Shame it took us 4 hours…

Wow, that is some cake. I used to make wedding cakes for a living, so I know how hard it can be to get it right. Well done to both of you, and Happy Birthday Henry!x

My boys totally LOVE the Lewis cake and seem to think they deserve something similar later in the year. Sad thing is, I can’t really do much better than the old figure-of-eight race track with matchbox cars on top. Happy Birthday Henry!
