In clover
On the whole life is pretty good here at the moment.
Of course, it’s the school holidays and for the first time ever I’m also trying to work.
So there are some unpleasant moments too, which I suppose are only to be expected when your very active boys have been stuck in with you saying ‘in a minute’ for 3 hours.
For example, Henry occupied himself very nicely the other afternoon by sellotaping things to the lounge carpet.
He used the whole roll.
But the good things:-
I’ve nearly finished my ‘to do’ list for the Festival of Quilts, a couple more late nights and I’m done.
We’re going on holiday tomorrow.
I’ve just taken out a subscription for the brand new ‘Sew Hip’ magazine; now that’s always a treat, but this one is especially good because we all know the lovely editor.
So please show her your wonderful support and go and take a look.
But, there’s more! Manda has asked me to contribute a little project to the launch issue! How exciting is that? Very flattering.
Manda asked me because she enjoys my blog. I tell you, starting this little blog has been the best thing I have done for myself in years. Astonishing.
Right, I’d better get my head out of the clouds and start the dreaded packing.
A weeks’ self catering- yep, I basically need to get the entire contents of our house and the dog in the boot of our car by 8 am tomorrow morning.
Wish me luck and have a good week yourselves.
I may not get back here before the Festival of Quilts. So if I don’t, please come and say ‘hello’ to me and my Mum we’ ll be on Stand I3, desperate for someone to stop and talk to us.
We’ ll have sweets…

LOL @ Henry, that’s something one of my kids would do if they found where I hide the sellotape. Love the clover, very pretty.

What a way to start your vacation- with this huge lift from being asked to contribute to what is destined to be a great magazine with Manda at the helm! I can certainly see why she would select you as a contributor! Wow, your blog is a delight to behold. I am especially impressed with your flower embroidery and the bag you embellished is fabulous! I wonder if I might add your blog to my blogroll?

Dear Janet,
I am so in love with your beautiful clover-embroidery! It`s delicious!
May I copy it for the front side of a needlebook (private use only – I am not going to sell this! )?
Have nice holidays!
