new oven
As our oven gradually stopped being able to reliably heat things (it’s one and only role in life) I as slowly stopped baking. I’ve been surprised by how much I missed it. But now we have a strange new oven. I’m not friends with it yet, but I think we’ll get along just fine in a few weeks. When he got home from school Henry said ‘Yes! Our house smells like cake again!’

There is noting better than a new oven to inspire one to bake. I had a new one a few years ago and also invested in an oven thermometer to take all the guess work out when using British and American recipes :o)

A house which smells of cake is always a good thing. You’ll be friends soon enough.
