Tulips

I’m just back from a lovely (and snowy) weekend teaching at Hope and Elvis. Louise has a wonderful collection of vintage fabric which she generously lets everyone use. I spend quite a bit of my time there rummaging through her scrap baskets, pulling out my favourites and making little piles of textile treasures.

Anyway, some treasures came back to the hotel with me and I started creating this little tulip piece. I finished it last night watching ‘Hope Springs‘ which I rather enjoyed. You can trust Meryl Streep.

Oh Janet, this is so pretty. You are clever. Can I just ask…when you are quilting your “feather” bits, do you do those free hand, or draw them on first? They always look so even and plump! And I agree…I’ve never seen a Meryl film that I haven’t loved! x
