Day out
I had a lovely day out on Saturday.
I showed my work to the ‘Market Square Quilters’ in Newbury in the morning, joined them for lunch and then spent the afternoon looking at a beautiful antique quilt collection.
My thanks to all the ladies for a lovely day that combined so many of my favourite things.
It was grand!
I was only able to go because my Mum and Dad came and looked after the boys for me, as Tony was away on business.
And when I got home after dark having battled with the rain and the M3,
I found happy boys, a cosy house, my Mum cooking dinner and tea in the pot.
I’d quite forgotten how lovely it is to come home to a Mum!
You know, these men of ours are extremely lucky to come home to a warm welcome and someone (us Mums) looking after them and theirs every single day.
The drawing was a recent commission.

Would you care to have that as a sworn affadavit? I don’t think I will convince my boy otherwise.
