Breakfast

We three are cereal eaters.

Poor Tony is up and gone already.

I never clear the table before doing the school run.

And every day when I get back I wish that I had.

But, still I never do.

Why is that?

There’s nothing worse is there – stumbling back through the door, anticipating that first child-free cup of coffee. Only to be confronted by the remains.

    I speak from daily experience.

Aargh! Would you call me unmentionable names if I said I leave mine in the sink until Popmaster comes on Radio 2!

I’ve joined in the kitchen poetry…blogged it instaed of doing the dishes!

I cheat and get the girls to put their own in the dishwasher. Then come home after school and have my breakfast in peace at a clear table!

I always wish I’d cleared up before going out too – but then it’s enough of a rush getting them out of the door that just stacking it in the kitchen seems an achievement!
