10 honest things
Firstly, I must say thank you very much for all your wonderful support!
I do hope you all enjoy belonging to my little email club.
Julia Lineanongrata has asked me to tell you 10 honest things about myself, so here goes:
1. I don’t always answer my home phone. Basically because I hate the interruption. But, in my defense, I do phone people back (when it suits me) and interrupt them instead.
2. I wear socks to bed. My feet are always so cold I can’t sleep otherwise.
3. If there is chocolate in the house I have to eat it.
4. I am very decisive. I will make a decision and stick to it (this may be stubborness actually). I can’t bear dithering.
5. I steal grapes in the supermarket. Sorry, Dad but, I do. I always, always taste them before I buy them.
6. I don’t eat my crusts. Bread crusts are dry and horrible. I don’t care if they make your hair curl or not. And I won’t make my boys eat them either.
7. Tony says I’m obsessed with peas. Maybe I am, but they are the perfect vegetable.
8. I hate board/ bored games. If you want entertainment: talk, read or use your imagination, please don’t roll a dice and move a bit of plastic round a board.
9. I am very messy. I will let the house gently decay around me and then suddenly I can’t bear the mess any longer and spend a whole day cleaning. And then the sorry process starts over again. This really annoys me, but I can’t seem to break the cycle.
10. I haven’t sewn anything for over a week. This is very unusual for me. Instead, I have been going to bed (at a very reasonable hour) with my hot water bottle and a book. Which has been lovely: but I haven’t been sewing and I kind of have to…
so there you have it.
And now I have to pass the game on to my Dad, Hazeljoy and Big Bucket Girl.

When you say ‘stealing’ grapes in the supermarket do you mean a whole bunch full or just the one? Because if it is just the one I think you are fairly safe from the gates of hell just yet!

You made me chuckle. Are you really obsessed with peas ? They do taste nice, but in our family there seemed to have been more of a thing about cabbages. The thing nobody really likes. Peas just fended for themselves.
Thank you for playing along. I hate board games, too. I’m not much of a player, in any case. Have no ambition whatsoever to win.

That grape thing isn’t stealing, it’s quality control. Now a banana or pineapple and I’d be more shocked!

Oh Janet. I am so like you! (or you like me?).
I love peas. Dislike board games except Chess. Nobody should be ‘made’ to eat what they dislike and the Grapes? Oh deary, deary me!
