New Friends

I have made a new friend. In real life.

We’ve been chatting politely to each other (as you do) during our son’s swimming lessons for a while now and last week she invited us for tea.

We’re supposed to be going there today.

So, naturally Joe’s come down with one of those random temperatures that children seem to get for no apparent reason.

He feels horrible and I’ve had to make our apologies.

Over the phone at short notice.

It felt awkward…

On a more cheerful note: I also ‘met’ the nicest lady called Lesley this week.

She sent me this wonderful felt dog she’d made. Just because.

Now that cheered me up no end.

Isn’t he fantastic?

I’ve put him next to an oil painting I found at a car boot sale.

He seemed to belong there.

The world is full of lovely people.

Really it is.

Good morning and Thankyou for the headache and my hurting eyeballs! I was up until gone 3 last night cutting dinosaurs with thin ends and bigger middles. Oh does that 3yr old want that quilt! We’re having a variation though i’m afraid…one of the dinos didn’t make it…he’s a smaller species. Or half eaten as the 9yr old sees it!

Was it me or was issue 2 better than #1?
    Are you involved next month?
