Getting round to it

Over Christmas as Tony and I tidied up the kitchen (again) we suddenly realised that we still had child locks on all our cupboards.

Our youngest child? 4 years old and out at school all day…

Why, exactly had it taken us so long to notice?

Similarly, a few days ago I realised that I hadn’t drawn any patches for my shop for months.

And so today I finally got round to that too.

I love your chickens. My children were 10 and 12 when we got around to taking off the child locks. In the end it was only me that struggled with them 🙂

I was complaining about the child locks to my Hubby only the other day. Must be this next phase of parenting!

I had to chuckle when i read about the child locks for two reasons, 1. when my kids were little we didn’t have “such” things–this was 40 yrs ago 2. my sister is visiting and we were rearranging my apt last week and when she was in the desk she asked me why i still had child safey locks–first off the desk was given to me a couple years ago and second i had no idea that those metal things that i caught my arm on everytime i opened the drawer didn’t need to be there–as for a happy ending she even took them off for me!!!!!

I just love these. Do you remember the rabbit one you gave me? I have it stitched onto a linen cushion which takes pride of place in my breakfast room! x
