Driftwood Angel

Driftwood AngelMy boys can’t pass a feather by without picking it up; and I now have a big jar full of them (I am incapable of throwing anything away). Of course, since I made this angel they are no longer simply feathers but are now ‘angel wings’.

She is papier mache and stands on a lovely piece of driftwood (got loads of that too!) She has a knitted jumper and a flannel skirt. Her halo is a piece of florists wire. The boys think she needs eyes and a smile – but I like her just the way she is.

I hope you like her because I am making more for my little shop!

Go and see ‘The Magpie and the Wardrobe’ for some truly gorgeous fairies and fripperies.

I agree she’s lovely just the way she is – lovely combination of fabric, yarn and found materials.

Wow. That fairy is so cool. (Sorry if that sounds like a naff word but i’m being bombarded by it from my discerning 8yr old and it ONLY means really good things!)
Magpie and the wardrobe fairies are lovely..but i’ll have to win the lottery first! I’ll love popping back to see if you’ve made any more of these. Cool!
