Robertson twins update
I am so pleased about this!
A lovely lady called Judith was so taken with the beautiful photo of the twins that she took the trouble to look them up in the 1901 Scottish census and guess what…
she found them!
Their mother was called Marion and their father, William. So, the boy lying in his mother’s arms (the first born?) was named after their father.
At the time of the census, they had two nurses and a servant living in their house, so they must have been quite well to do.
Actually, they do look it don’t they?
And by 1901 the twins had a little brother, Francis.
I’ll keep all the information with the photograph and will look after it well.
But, I can’t help but feel it shouldn’t be me treasuring this.

Someone in Birkenhead (a couple of times removed cousin) is updating my grandfather’s side of the family. It is always interesting and sometimes upsetting to see long held beliefs topple. I wonder what happened to the twins?
