Flowery Blouse

So, this is what I did last night, at the expense of all else.

I made myself a flowery blouse (using Ali’s book again) from a thrifted sheet.

And today, despite the low temperature and pouring rain I’m wearing it.

With my all time favourite jeans and my furry slippers.

I have lots of the sheet left (it was a double, poly cotton I think and in well washed condition).

Anyone want it?

The only other thing I did yesterday was to eat chocolate cake and talk to Ginny

who also co-authored this book,

and does this too

and she’s a Mum.

She’s one busy lady.

We had the very best kind of morning together.

Which all adds up to a great Wednesday in my book.

It sounds like a perfect day to me as well! Especially the cake and talking to a good friend.

Lucky you Janet…having spent some special time with Ginny myself, I can imagine what fun it was connecting. Funnily enough, my sister is doing a one day course with you next month at THe Quilt Room. It’s a small world!

Sounds like a very nice day. I made an awesome chocolate cake with pink frosting the other day, and I can barely stay out of it! It’s a Farm Chicks recipe, and I blogged about it yesterday with recipe links. You’ll have to check it out; it is so good and moist and yummy. Your thrifted sheet looks great as a top. — Michele

Love your repurposed sheet blouse, it is really cute. I collect vintage linens and use them for everything. They rate right up there in my fabric stash. 🙂 BTW, you have great stuff in your etsy store too. Thanks for sharing.
