Minnehaha Falls

Falls420wTony and I had a few days in Minneapolis before Quilt Market began and we used them well! One of our favourite days was spent visiting Minnehaha Falls and the mighty Mississippi river.

I couldn’t resist chanting ‘Mrs M, Mrs I, Mrs SSI, Mrs SSI, PPI’ as we walked along the rocky path from the falls to the river. Tony had never ever heard it before and thought I’d made it up (as if I could!) Did we skip whilst we were singing it? I think we did.

Seeing the Mississippi was wonderful. Having grown up hearing of this huge, powerful river and skipping to songs about it never once imagining I would ever see actually lay eyes on it myself, only to take a work trip to a trade show in a city and for it to just be there waiting for me within easy reach on public transport. Wonderful.

I was so happy!Mississippi420w

Then we had lovely fish tacos on the terrace for lunch.

Which by the way, was cheap, reliable, clean and easy and the bus stops are heated.

We loved that!
