Stamps

I taught at the Quilt Room on Saturday and had a lovely day with all the ladies who included:

Pebbledash’s sister, the Japanese magazine lady (who had made cakes for my boys) and a lady called Marigold (great name).

Over lunch, Marigold and I were chatting about craft and being thrifty and she told me of a bowl she’d made lined with postage stamps, which in turn reminded me of this papier mache bowl I’d made.

It’s not a particularly good or practical bowl, but I like to think it has a certain charm.

Great bowl! I love stamps and have used them to cover boxes and all sorts.

We all had a great day too, thank you Janet! We produced lots during the day and loved your ideas. I hope the boys enjoyed their cakes! Jennifer

You can never have too many impractical bowls! It’s a beauty.

I like it very much. It definitely has charm. A lot more than stamps have while you’re in the post office, waiting for the post office lady to get on with it (quickly, but that would be asking too much). It sounds as though you had a good afternoon.

    Lovely stamp dish Janet.

Is that a rare stamp I see in amongst the others?
