New Skirt
Thanks for all the links and tips you gave me for New York.
I have a long, long list to work from now!
I bought this lovely fabric for £4 a metre the other week.
And made it into a long a line skirt (using the same pattern as for this one).
I think I like it but I can’t forget that the fabric was actually in the upholstery section of the shop…
so, and you need to be honest here:
do I look like I’m wearing curtains?

I really like the fabric and most of all, I like how you positioned the roses at an angle on the bottom. That takes the onus off the source of the fabric. I say thumbs up!
Have a spectacular time!

I’ve been a lurker for a while – I had to comment. I love the lines and color of the skirt, although my parents *did* have a couch with that exact pattern fabric on it. It looks much better on you than it ever did on the couch!

I love it, and was just thinking today if I could get away with making a skirt out of an old pair of curtains… I’m sold now!

It looks beautiful on you! Better yet, when you get a compliment you can use one of Carol Burnett’s best lines ever, “I saw it hanging in the window and I just couldn’t resist it.”

As far as i’m concerned, my curtains are made of plain linen. You don’t look like them then ! The skirt is wonderful (at least on you. Not sure it works on every kind of figures…)

You absolutely don’t look as though you were wearing a curtain. It looks wonderful. Curtains are always frilly and lacy things. Really. You can believe me.

totally gorgeous Janet. I just made a jacket out of a pyjama top and am currently making a skirt out of a sheet so I’m probably a little biased :o)
