and yet another small brown British bird!
I did intend to have a quilt finished to show you tonight, but instead of sewing I decided to drink wine at a ‘Virgin Vie’ foot spa evening! Very relaxing it was too.
So, you will have to wait until next week to see the quilt and look at yet another watercolour painting tonight. A Chaffinch this time. Apparently, Chaffinches sing in regional dialects! Have you noticed that all our native birds seem to be brown?
I would also like to thank ‘Little Thimble’ and ‘Hazel Joy’ for adding me to their lists of lovely blogs! Actually, Maria at ‘Little Thimble’ has started me off on a bit of a Scandinavian blog craze. Can’t read a word of them unfortunately… but they are so beautiful.
Pinch, punch, first day of the month…white rabbits!

What about kingfishers? (Are they native? They must be, mustn’t they?)

Oh, what a beautiful painting again! Such delicate and fine detail. And I’m happy I could be of aid in finding new great blogs – I love many the Scandinavian ones, too!
