Fashion design
When I was 13 I wanted to be a fashion designer and spent rather a lot of my time creating my portfolio.
I did actually go on to get a degree in Textiles and Fashion, but discovered I was better at designing the cloth than the garment and the rest is history as they say!

Hi Janet, I had to laugh when I saw your fashion designs for 1982. I have (somewhere) a photograph of myself at around the same time, dressed almost identically to your design,even the same pose. we must have been on the same wavelength!My pedal pushers were black velvet, I had a pirate style white broderie anglaise blouse with the embroidery in gold thread and a black fringed shawl over my shoulder with a jungle print including tigers. (also with gold thread) Spandau Ballet had much to answer for! I’m looking forward to watching you on C&C tomorrow. Regards, Melanie
