Mother nature

The boys have been enjoying (in the gruesome way only small boys can) watching the thrushes smash snails against the garden patio.

And it really is an amazing thing to see in your own tiny, very suburban back garden.

That is until they found this:

We’re pretty sure it’s Joe’s snail not Henry’s. Joe’s okay about it, just a bit disappointed.

Mother Nature has some pretty hard lessons to learn.

janet, lovely catching up with your latest creations and little peeks into ‘day to day’ life…

we don’t have the joy of ‘snails’ in our neck of the woods, just huge gigantic, nightmares are made of these, slugs. apparently chickens will attempt them once they have been washed and cleaned due to their ‘unsavoury’ coating. armed with a bucket of water, washing up gloves and ‘bbq tongs’ i shall bravely go forth…

may joe’s snail ‘rest in peace’ where ever he may be…

I can imagine the tears. Isn’t wonderful how open and real the world is when you are young?

[…] As well as getting thrushes in our garden we also get lots of squirrels. They are great fun to watch in the winter when the trees are bare […]
