Squirrels

As well as getting thrushes in our garden we also get lots of squirrels. They are great fun to watch in the winter when the trees are bare and they fling themselves from branch to branch.

Tony took this great photo through the kitchen window the other morning.

We were wondering how the birds managed to get through so much seed when we’ve never actually seen any birds eating it.

Now we know.

Do you think he’s laughing at us?

I think he is saying “Thanks Folks, but could you make it a little easier to get to?”.

    Nice photo.
Is the squirrel laughing at you?
No. He has a silly grin on his face because his cheeks are stuffed with bird seed!

Hello Janet and thanks for commenting on my blog 🙂 I’m afraid we have had to take steps to discourage the squirrels from our birdfeeder as there would be nothing left for the birds otherwise! But they seem to manage to nick quite a bit anyway.

    Have a good weekend 🙂

Squirrels are way too smart, when it comes to bird feeders.

We have squirrels in our garden who dive bomb the feeders to knock the seed out onto the ground. Clever little critters !
