Me
I found this great old photo at the car boot sale.
She wrote ‘Me’ confidently in fountain pen
on her pretty pinny
clearly in no doubt that she’d be remembered
and recognised by her nearest and dearest.
Sadly those days are gone.
Nevertheless, she has still managed to inspire me
to make a very simple, plain white apron
with a great big Me embroidered on it.

Oh I do like that. What is the fabric? Flannelette?
Have just had a conversation with my sister this a.m. about old pics. She is throwing a load away. I am not sure how I feel about this.

For a minute there I thought the ‘me’ on the photo related to you!! Bit old to be the mother of an 8 yr old I thought . . . . then I saw the text! Ooops.

Great apron. I wonder what her story was, who she intended the photograph for? I suspect she never thought she’d inspire such a lovely design.
