Much the same

You’ll have to humour me if you live somewhere that gets cold snaps every winter

because we don’t

and so I have never in my entire life seen icicles hanging off my bedroom window!

You’d think all this time inside would have enabled me

to get some sewing and creating done wouldn’t you?

But actually, it seems to be having the exact opposite effect.

I have achieved nothing all week.

And frankly, next week is not looking any better.

I’m wondering the same – how on earth home time can be so unproductive? Have come to the conclusion that it’s too many other bodies in the house needing feeding and clearing up after as well as entertaining, refereeing and directing. Ready for the thaw now.

Janet, I feel for you – am having the exact same experience too – the housework seems to have doubled and everything is harder work – getting food takes ages, things get put on hold because of the snow, everyone’s milling around off college/nursery/whatever, wanting hot food and stuff. Aaagh!

i have found the same thing, all this enforced staying indoors and i’ve not produced a single thing – too busy pfaffing about – mind you by the time i’ve finished carting buckets of water around for the horses, sorting out their hay and mucking out their stables i’m creamcrackered!!!

Maybe you didn’t accomplish anything you can hold in your hands, but think of all the dreaming you have been doing. Surely, Janet, that counts for something?? I sympathize…because I feel like I am wasting way too much time reading blogs and not sewing, knitting, or embroidering. I am getting inspired though!

Hi Janet – I’m so the same – I seem to spend my time putting turf on the fire, closing doors and peeling on and off extra layers :o)

As for the fair – by all means yes, the more the merrier :o) I’ve told Sarah she’s coming too and just to be sure she doesn’t change her mind I’ve bought her a ticket and it’s going to her address :o) If you chat with Sarah you can maybe arrange coming up with her??

I’m so excited – I’m afraid I am so fed up with the cold and snow and can’t wait for spring !

Janet (and everybody) – for this relief much thanks – I have been feeling really pathetic about not using the snowboundedness to spend a single day on progressing current C&G project – now I know it’s not just me I feel much better. And BTW we get lots of cold snaps here in Scotland but I have never seen icicles on the house before this winter – I was entranced too!
