The cake
The last few days have been spent melting chocolate and then freezing it in a metal bowl.
And licking the spoon, obviously.
There are worse ways to spend your time.
And all because I saw this pinata cake on Trashalou’s blog and knew it was the cake for Joe.
N.B. When you give your already over excited 9 year old a wooden mallet and a cake to smash
don’t suddenly realise that you’ve only gone and made the cake
on your best ceramic cake stand…
it survived but I don’t know how!

brilliant cake, my birthday is soon and I think I’ll just have to make one. Although I may put in on my bread board as I am sure to smash any china!
