1,000 visits giveaway!

Sorry about all my pictures vanishing this week. Luckily for me, I knew a man who could fix the problem – my long suffering ‘technical director’ who had to put up with me sulking about my blog being broken for days until he found a way to fix the problem. Thankyou Tony!

Anyway, I’m back with good news. Unbelievable as it may seem I had over a thousand visitors to my little blog in June – thankyou very much!

So, the other night (whilst feeling very confident) I decided to ‘risk’ a little giveaway, and here it is:

Embroidered book cover

It’s a notebook cover! Made from a piece of wool blanket and decorated on the front with one of my ‘machine drawings’ using a variegated thread in purple heathery to green colours.

The inspiration for the drawing, as you can probably tell came from looking at Angie Lewins’ work.

name label

The cover is completely removable and so can be put on another book or washed when necessary.

I have put it on an A5 lined notebook.

Here is a close-up of one of the seed heads. I love drawing with my sewing machine – it’s great fun.

And it has got one of my new name labels sewn on the back!

name

If you would like to win the notebook and cover please leave me a comment and I will enter you into the draw, which will be held on Friday 20th July.

I’ll post it anywhere- in fact I’d love to post it somewhere really out of the ordinary! So, feel free to leave a comment and once again – thankyou very much for visiting!

Hi there – I am here through Pretty Essential and am so glad to have found you – even if I don’t win – I feel as though I have won something anyway getting here!!! Is Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains unusual enough as a destination???

The book cover would be lovely to own..but unfortunately I live in a one horse town with tumbleweed blowing for half the year and then overrun with sheep for the rest. (There’s a funfair with a bad safety record, the seagulls pinch your cornets and there’s no Borders or Starbucks for miles but our beaches DO have blue flags.)
Can you show more of your machine drawings?

the bear in the last post is so sweet and loveable x
and the giveaway prize is beautiful – you are very kind x
if i am the lucky name out of the hat i could be in one of two places – sweet village in Kent or windy cliff top in Scotland – we are on the move!
    have a great Sunday

I don’t usually comment on giveaways because I feel silly and I don’t want the giverawayer to think I’m only commenting to win. But, since I comment on your site a bit and this one is sooo nice and well to be honest I would be beyond pleased if I won!
