Pinch, punch, first day of the month…white rabbits!
Hello and welcome to my very first blog! My name is Janet and I’m a designer and full-time mother to our two little boys. ‘I’ (by that I actually mean my husband, Tony!) am currently developing a website for my patchwork and applique designs, which I hope to have completed shortly. But, in the mean time I have started a little blog!
I thought I should explain the title for those of you not familiar with the English saying. On the first day of the month it is traditional to try to be the very first person to say it whilst actually pinching and punching the other person on the arm! To which the other person has to kick you on the ankles and say ‘here’s a kick for being so quick!’…a lovely, slightly painful way to welcome in the new month.

I’ve been living in England for 16 years and nobody has ever told me that. Or punch me and pinch me for that matter…
I’ll keep that in mind.
In Italy, today is a national holiday. Maybe that’s why I don’t feel like doing much!!!
