Another rainy day game

Joe's matchboxYes, it rained again today – so out came yet another old but favourite game!

Give each fed up child an empty matchbox.

Then get them to put as many things as possible into it. But the lid must still fit!

We did this as a sponsored fundraiser at school and you can get over 100 things in a little matchbox if you are very clever (rice, a hair, sand, flour etc…)

The only downside to this game is that they wreck every room in the house!

Thanks for all your nice comments about my website and shop. I intend to add an item to my shop daily. So please keep looking! I will also have a pattern on sale soon – but I’ve done all I can on it and I’m trying to give Tony a little break!

That’s a fun idea, I’ll have to make sure we play it when our house is already a wreak (which is kind of often anyway)! Your website looks great, I really love your loose, ‘drawing’ style, it looks like it might be kind of liberating to move so freely at the sewing machine.

That game also works well when you tell them to fill it up with crumbs etc that have been dropped since you hoovered last. Mine love that one! A great one to play just before Mother In Law comes round to inspect!
