Blackberry Obsession Deepens
I was flicking through my old copies of ‘Delicious’ the other day and found a recipe for blackberry gin. Now, I love gin and, as you know there is no shortage of blackberries around here! So I had to make it.
Here’s the recipe: (which makes 900ml):
900g blackberries
450g golden granulated sugar
1 cinnamon stick
300ml gin
sterilised bottles
Basically you blitz the berries and half the sugar in a food processor.
Press this through a metal sieve into a pan which has the remaining sugar and the cinnamon in it.
Stir to dissolve the sugar and simmer for 20 minutes.
So simple to make and it tastes gorgeous!
Not sure one batch is going to last me all year though…
