Festival of Quilts
It’s more than time for an update don’t you think?
The Festival of Quilts went really, really well. My stand was busy, my workshop was sold out and ‘Freya and Fred’ were very well received.
So I want to say a
huge thank you
to all you lovely and enthusiastic people who came and supported me.
In a rather surreal (but great!) moment I was called a celebrity (in front of my little sister!) by Evie
and was also filmed by ‘Just Hands on’ TV, which was a wonderful (if slightly nerve wracking) opportunity.
Manda has written the most flattering review of ‘Freya and Fred’ ever– and has a free copy to giveaway too. Truly, I blushed as I read it.
And now, Tony has gone on a business trip leaving me with the boys and Betty for the last week of the school holidays.
I have to admit that we are all rather ‘holiday-ed’ out and longing for a routine. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been a great holiday- but after entertaining two boys and a puppy for six weeks at home (in the rain) I am more than ready to get back to work!
P.S. I’d been looking for a new lampshade with no success (in price range) for ages and had a brainwave one day when the boys and I were drawing. It’s just stencilled with permanent marker. ‘Stop arguing with your brother’ didn’t fit…

Will your snippet of TV be on Utube? Then we all can share your fame by saying that we “know” you!! It really is all deserved. Your work is delightful.

I have many great reviews of your stall and book in bloggy land and I wasn’t surprised, it looked so lovely when you blogged about it. I hope this week whilst Tony is away isn’t too stressful, isn’t amazing how men time these things 🙂 x

I love your lampshade! It reminds me of all those times that I told them (in various heightened states of emotion) – ‘If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all.’ And I think that ‘Be nice’ is my motto in life – I am glad that I am not the only one!
