Hugo
I worked for hours on that redwork angel design, but it just would not come together. She just wasn’t ‘me’. And I am slowly learning that if something doesn’t ‘click’ immediately it probably never will.
So, I have been working on some of my favourite animals instead. And here is my very first stitchery pattern:
I literally painted the outline onto a generous piece of calico with some fabric paint (which is completely washable- I have tested it!) and then fixed the image with an iron.
I then splitstitched round the outlines in a variegated embroidery thread.
I’m going to add some hand quilting and possibly a patchwork border and then Hugo is finished.
I’m pleased with him- but, as ever, not my photography.
Excuse me while I drop a heavy hint…
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to be given a camera something like this for Christmas?
