Elevenses
This morning Joe wanted to use the ‘Spiderman’ cake kit that Henry had given him for his birthday. He also wanted a “cloth, blanket thingy” on the table and my cake stand.
So, I gave him free rein and tried to be helpful and calm (is it just me or is baking with small children slightly stresssful?) and this is the result.
A happy, wholesome family memory and one very proud 6 year old.
This is why I gave up my career, this is why I put up with the chores and this is why I wear my pinny with pride… the gentle art of domesticity.

Thanks for sending me the cakes Joe (Janet), they tasted as good as they looked. Nana liked hers also.
