Mrs Eliot
I’ve been very lucky lately. Francesca (Mrs Eliot Books) kindly agreed to do a little swap with me. She chose a cushion from my shop and I chose these fantastic prints from hers!
The first print is called ‘Milk’ and will probably end up in my kitchen. And this one is called ‘Moonlight’ and will be in my bedroom.
The text reads “You’d never put your arms around me at Kew Gardens now” she said wistfully. “Only in the moonlight”.
I love them. They are printed on beautiful paper and the colours are delicious. Go and buy some if you can!
Sadly, these prints will have to be stowed away safely for a while yet. Because, we’re getting the builders in!
Don’t worry, we had the builders in 3 years ago (in fact when Henry was a newborn) so I know exactly what we are letting ourselves in for.
But this time, I will put up with anything without moaning because they are going to make me my very own, never ever had one before, only for me sewing room! How exciting is that!
This fantastic (but very little) room will be conjured out of the garage roof space… so girls, if you want a sewing room too, my advice is this: go and take a fresh look at your house and call a very imaginative architect. They don’t charge for coming to talk to you (well ours didn’t anyway!)
Oh, and then eat beans on toast for the forseeable future!

lovely prints aren’t they! good luck with the builders, good idea though, my sewing room was 1/3 of our youngest’s bedroom, his room was big with 2 windows so lent itself to being split really easily, but my husbands work space is the grandest, he has one of those huge wooden summer houses down the bottom of the garden. he definitely got the better deal, sometimes i spend all evening seeing to the children rather than sewing. he trots in a night blissfully unaware saying ‘oh, have they been awake then?’

That is worth a lot of bean suppers. Hooray!

A craft room all to yourself sure makes beans on toast look good. MMMMM.

A room of your very own! Fantastic! I’ve carved out a bit of space for myself in the basement. Not perfect, but mine all mine.
