If I know my Mum she won’t be too happy about me showing this to you- she’s a bit shy!
But, this won’t be the first (or last) time I’ve been in trouble, so never mind…
It’s really fresh and pretty isn’t it?
Mum if anything, is even worse than me at relaxing. We just cannot do nothing!
So she makes quilts at quite a rate, and has long run out of beds to put them on.
When Mum said that this quilt was just ‘cluttering up’ the house and I could have it I leapt at the chance!
It has been made entirely from scraps and calico (muslin) and is hand appliqued and quilted. In the centre of every flower is a button, a painstakingly, lovingly hand sewn button.
Can you resist running your hands through cool, smooth buttons and watching them slip gently, in a blur of colours into an old biscuit tin?
Neither can I.
it’s lovely, not suprised you leapt at the chance to have it. buttons in biscuit tins remind me of my gran.
What a worry to have such “clutter”. What a great daughter you are to help her out. It really is beautiful.
That is so, soo beautiful! I love it!
Oh your mum is so clever! This is lovely, don’t tell me about buttons, ooooh I love them! x
