Christmas Stockings
I made the boys these stockings for their very first Christmases.
Joe has the Snowman and Henry has the flying Reindeer.
My boys love them and they are a really important part of our familys’ Christmas traditions and will be treasured forever I’m sure.
Even Joe loves his!
These stockings seem to embody all the excitement and anticipation of Christmas Eve.
Father Christmas has touched them. They are precious.
I taught a Christmas stocking workshop last year to a lovely group of new Mums (some of whom had never sewn anything before) and everyone had the stocking made within a fortnight.
So, you can definitely get them made if you start now!
So, just 6 years after making the first stocking I have finally written a proper pattern for them and it is in my shop now.
Another W.I.P off the list- just another 9 to go!
The W.I.Ps may be reducing nicely but the chaos in the house is increasing accordingly! It is true; you really can not do everything!

chaos sounds like our house too, i’m getting totally addicted to bloglines and the hoovering is suffering as a result. in fact (reduces voice to a whisper…) my ironing pile had been there so long, everything was looking pretty flat anyway so i just put it all away instead of ironing it : o

there is just something about Christmas stockings…doesn’t matter what age you are, it is the anticipation of it all. i have a lovely red knitted one that i hang out every year and it never fails to get filled on Christmas Eve…and may i add, not by myself 😉

These are adorable stockings. I love your appliqued projects. I’m not very good with applique but this makes me want to try harder. Wonderful projects and a pleasure to browse.

you do the most wonderful sewing, such a pleasure to look at. and read about. the stockings are just beautiful can’t believe that Christmas stuff is all about in the shops.. it has come quickly this year happy days Margie
