Revamped cardigan

Button cardigan

Whoops! I forgot to take a ‘before’ photo.

Sorry but you’ll have to use your fantastic imaginations to picture an unloved peach cotton cardigan which was never worn (not my colour) but which was too good to give away.

So, I put it into the washing machine with some brown dye, added some bias binding made from an old blouse and then sewed on loads of buttons.

I didn’t particularly enjoy making the bias binding, but I think it was worth the effort.

Dressing gown

Having learnt my lesson I did remember to take a ‘before’ photo of my next customising project.

I found a cotton, embroidered dressing gown with beautiful flared sleeves for 50p at a charity shop.

I have had it for about a year and did intend to use it as a dressing gown – but somehow never did.

And now I have rather ambitious plans for it.

If I never mention it again – you can assume they were overly ambitious plans!
