chore
Why is sewing Cub badges (and school name tags) on such a chore when I can quite happily sit and sew anything else for hours on end?
Also, mending fallen hems- I don’t like doing that. And I’m not mad about replacing buttons either.

It’s sewing purgatory! I’ve been altering nursery uniform trousers for The Boy…taking them in, taking them up. It’s grim. Pretty things are calling to me!

I know just what you mean!!! I also hate shortening trousers and sewing all those little ends after machine quilting is literally a pain in the neck! x

I love that sort of everyday mending. Without wanting to sound too daft in the head but for me it is about sewing in love, almost like a talisman that will protect them when they are not with me. Better stop now before I start on about my inner mending sprit and whale music!

hehehehe I’m like that. Something’s SUPER fun until I HAVE to do it and then suddenly no matter the task I don’t want to do it 🙂
