striped dress
weak but welcome sunshine this morning for photographing my new striped dress. I do like it- it’s comfortable and practical and has a few nice details but I really wanted to love it.
Maybe it’s the fabric- a big blowsy floral with more drape might be better. Maybe it’s me. It’s not the dress pattern.
So, the search for the ‘perfect dress that isn’t too dress-y’ pattern continues.

Getting fabric with the right drape for clothes but is still ‘natural’ is harder than finding rocking horse poo!

Sounds like the perfect excuse to keep making new lovely stuff…I once spent five years looking for the right belt and am still searching for the right slippers after giving up my old ones eight years ago…

try washing it a few times… it might soften a little… or dye it indigo? with those subtly stripes should look just fab.
… although I must say, I like it just as it is!!
