The Journey is the reward

A lovely brand new patchwork shop

called

‘The Wandering Line’

has just opened in Purley, Surrey.

And, it’s owner Debbie has asked me to teach

her JOURNEY course!

As there’s no point re-inventing the wheel, I’ve ‘borrowed’ Debbie’s course description:

“Do you want to develop your creativity? Learn new techniques? And improve your existing skills?

Do you want to gain the confidence to experiment and create textile pieces that are truly unique to you?

Then this is the course for you!

Over the ten month course we will be exploring a wide variety of textile techniques, including embellishing, machine stitching and dyeing.

On each inspiring JOURNEY day you will watch demonstrations and be taught new techniques before trying them for yourselves by developing a collection of samples.

What you choose to do with these new found skills is entirely up to you as there will be no compulsory homework and no exams!

This JOURNEY is very much about you and how much you want to gain from it.

At the end of the course you will have samples and projects reflecting each stage of your JOURNEY, confidence in your creativity and be equipped to develop your own sewing identity which truly reflects your own personality and interests.”

Sounds exciting doesn’t it?

I’m really looking forward to it and can’t wait to see where our JOURNEY takes us!

But, we’ll definitely have a whale of a time (boom boom!)

The JOURNEY starts in March and already there’s only a few places left, so please get in touch for more information or to book your place.
