Stripes!
I settled down the other night to start my ripple blanket and after two hours of counting, losing stitches and ripping back (is this called ‘frogging’?) I still had nothing to show for it! So, I got up this morning and thought ‘who wants a ripple blanket anyway?’ Surely, a ripple cushion will be much nicer…more original, not so large…
Joe brought this fantastic painting home from school and I couldn’t resist showing it off.
I also would like to thank Julie for being the first person to add me to her blogroll and to Manda for her very kind words and adding a link to me in her last post.

Oh, I’m gonna love your blog, I can already tell — starting with the sweater flowers and the blackbird pillow (I adore). My herbal medicines are named “blackbird herbs” so I especially love that and will check out Niall Williams.
Thanks and good luck.
