Reflect

Sorry for my little break. Our modem broke, leaving me without the internet and email for a week.

And I am ashamed to say that I was lost without it.

The days felt considerably longer. I clearly spend far too long on the computer.

In ten days my Henry starts school.

He is ready.

But I am not.

Seven years of full time mothering almost over. Six hours a day, everyday, to fill wisely.

Time to reflect indeed.

I have never understood why some parents say they dread having the children home for holidays. It is when I get to have them home again all day.

You will be fine. Just make sure your box of tissues is close to hand!

Scary, isn’t it? Wishing you both an easy transition.

Good to have you ‘back’ Janet.
I remember your first day at school. Your Mum and me hugged and kissed. Poor Sharon didn’t know what all the celebrating was for!!
    Only joking.
Henry will go into school without as much as a backward look. That’s when you know you have done a good job and he is ‘growing up’
As for you – go home, put the kettle on and say to yourself “I can do this today, or this” Enjoy!!!
