Round 2
Instead of doing other things (things with fast approaching deadlines) I treated myself to round 2 of my medallion quilt.
Now, I knew that my first border was wonky. But the true extent of its wonkiness only became apparent when I had to sew my second border of 2 inch squares to the first border of 2 inch squares.
And not one matched. I am not exaggerating. There was a lot of stretching, squishing, pinning and spray starch involved.
And I’m not sure I even like the colouring either.
And you’re definitely not seeing the back.
But it is done now and I can’t bear to do it all again.
Maybe I’m not such a perfectionist after all.

Oh yes, a much better use of time when deadlines are looming. My house was never so clean and tidy as when I had essays to hand in!

Your photos show the quilt to its best advantage then because I don’t see a thing wrong with it. I’m choosing to look the other way and move on when my medallion round quality is lacking. I like it! We’re all looking at those happy birds anyway! đŸ˜‰

But from here, it’s beautiful! I say pshaw on perfectionism. A little wonky adds a lot of charm!
