Heaven
My first childfree morning in nearly 6 weeks! Heaven indeed.
I raced home from school, set the table in the garden, found my brand new Janet Bolton book (thanks Mum!) and had a blissfully quiet coffee.
In my very favourite cup.
It is very wide so you have to hug it in both hands when you drink and it is perfect.
I bought the cup from a potter called ‘Dale’ at a craft fair years ago.
It was £20 and most people seemed to think I was mad to spend so much on just a cup.
But it makes me happy everytime I use it, so money well spent in my opinion.
The small things matter a lot- don’t they?
Our deaf, arthritic 14 year old dog is also in heaven.
No small boys for 4 hours! Bliss.

Janet, can you tell me about the new Janet Bolton book? I see a reference to it on her site but she does not mention the title. This is exciting! Thanks!

I am looking forward to tomorrow for the same reason! Feeling a bit sad at the prospect of my youngest going to school though.

My little darlings go back to school tomorrow -in 20 hours time to be precise.
Not that I’m counting or anything.
: )
I hope you have a lovely peaceful day today.

Oh! Sounds like a nice morning. I still have a couple of years to go, but I know it will be here before I know it.
