Work in progress
Thankyou for all your comments! After asking everyone (and Henry), I have decided to go ahead and make him a quilt. I just feel it wouldn’t be fair if Joe had one and he didn’t. I’d feel guilty.
The background grows really quickly and is great fun to do. The needle turn applique however, will take ‘ages of times’ as Henry says.
Lucy and I had a great time together on Saturday. We started with tea and cake, moved on to sewing, then went charity shopping on the way to the pub for wine and lunch, and then home for yet more tea and sewing. It was so lovely!
Our thanks to the wonderful Tony and Rob for looking after the children for us.

I love the sailing boat in this quilt…and I am really loving the colors as well. glad you decided to make it for Henry, even if the fiddly bits take a long time. At least in the long run you won’t have the guilt!!

Wine and a pub lunch? Now THAT’S what our Friday Work in Progress girly days are missing! I knew there was something.
Thank you for leaving the comment on my blog. You are more than welcome to join us if you’re ever in town on a Friday!!! Just bring sweets!

i am very impressed with this patchwork. and the quilt you made for joe is really beautiful. i can’t believe he doesn’t like it- perhaps he will ‘reclaim’ it for his grandchildren?
