Hearty Good Wishes
Well, I did it! My second book is all finished and looking lovely (if I do say so myself).
I was inspired by a charming 1915 Christmas card I bought for 40p in a junk shop, which got me thinking about the coast in winter- my very favourite time to be there.
‘Hearty Good Wishes’ is 70 full colour pages full of boats, gulls and windswept cottages, the shipping forecast, maps of Blighty, seaweed and whales.
Here’s what my boys wrote on the back cover for me:
Joe said: ‘I love the seaside because I like skimming stones through the waves and you get fish and chips there! So, I think this is a good book because it has lots of sewing designs for the seaside in it.’
And Henry said: ‘Even I liked this book and I don’t like reading!’
‘Hearty Good Wishes- Coastal quilts’ is for sale on Esty and Amazon– I truly hope you like it!
I’ll show you more another day.
