My brother and I used to have a competition on the first day of every month to be the first to say it and then there would follow a series of completely made up sayings along the same lines – ” a poke in the eye for being so sly”, “a punch and a kick for being so quick” … you get the idea and you can probably guess that it all ended in tears to!! Ahh, sibling rivalry!
